Tocardo

Tocardo is a company which focuses on generating energy from tidal currents. The company has the ambition of becoming a large player in the global market for tidal energy. Tocardo develops its technology and tidal-energy projects in both The Netherlands and Scotland. In 2008 the pre-commercial Tocardo Aqua T50 turbine was installed in the Afsluitdijk and has since then supplied electricity to the grid.
